Olilawn 8' x 5' Volcano Grill Gazebo with Double Top

Not the easiest assembly required product to do especially by yourself. Took longer than I had anticipated. However when completed it had great coverage over my payroll set.

The OLILAWN grill gazebo is a strong solid metal construction body that is weather resistant and very sturdy once built. The fabric top is double layered with a breathable opening to resist the wind. There is plenty of space for a grill up to 5 burners or so with two table top shelves and BBQ tool hooks on one of them. It can free stand but if you live in a place with heavy winds, it is advised to stake the legs into the ground to prevent it from blowing over.

It took my wife and me around 3 hours to build the gazebo. There were a lot of parts to sort through but the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The tool included to build the gazebo was a joke and would have taken twice is along to build if I didn’t have a ratchet tool instead. I highly recommend using a ratchet tool instead of the provided hand wrench. During the assembly, I ran into three issues. 1. I broke one of the screws off in the hole of one of the connecting pieces; 2. One of the two plastic bumps that hold the light onto the frame broke off while trying to attach the light; 3. When trying to attach the big top fabric piece, the stretching ended up breaking one of the threads rubbing on the metal at the top.

Once the gazebo was finished, it felt very solid. I was able to move it around my hard without issue to determine the best place. Although the stakes to hold it down is a good idea, it is not a good idea to have your BBQ on a soft grass or dirt platform which makes the stakes counter productive. A BBQ should be on a hard flat surface since you are dealing with fire.

Overall I am very pleased with the OLILAWN grill gazebo. The assembly was difficult but when done, I felt like I could use it anywhere in my yard without worry of it topping over. There is good storage space for the BBQ tools as well as plenty of shelf space to prep food or serve beverages. The weather resistant materials makes it ideal for heavy outdoor use but only time will tell if the materials can hold up to hot Arizona heat. The ultimate all-weather grill accessory, this little grill gazebo is more of a game changer than I expected! ...Not only does it shield the grill master from inclement weather... This canopy keeps the sun off of the head and back when working out on the grill. It makes grilling easier and more comfortable, which can only be described as fantastic! Additionally, the components of the canopy are a breeze to take out and assemble. The frame for this canopy is lightweight and easy to extend, and the fabric for the canopy itself attaches simply and fits appropriately.

The only drawback shows up in the legs of the frame. At times, the legs feel like they have a little too much lateral play when fully extended. Users should be mindful of leg positioning as to avoid putting too much horizontal stress on the unit at any given time. So long as the legs stay vertical and the canopy is weighed down this shouldn’t become an issue, however.

Despite that one concern, I’m very please with this canopy overall. For the price, this is a decent product that serves the purpose for which it is intended. The ease of assembly and storage also stands out as a highlight for this canopy. Given that, the grill gazebo earns 5/5 stars for being a user-friendly and decent quality pop up canopy.
