Beautiful umbrella!

Im very happy with this umbrella, so far. The color is perfect for my garden! It was pretty easy to put together, although having two people makes it easier. We filled the base with the sand and water combo so its very stable. Love the design and how it works. Seems well made. Time will tell. two suggestions, 1- the umbrella and base came in separate packages on separate days. That was not in the description so I thought the base was missing when the umbrella arrived first. 2- The instructions that came with it say to fill it with water and sand until it weighs greater than 264lbs. Its a bit confusing.

Umbrella is lovely but did not receive the base for it. So now all the pieces are laying on my patio and cannot put it up. So once i can put umbrella together i can leave a real review. PLEAS SEND ME THE BASE so umbrella laid on the patio for 10 days. After working with customer service they found out that Fed-Ex lot it and shipped another one. Once we finally received and got all set up, I am loving it and it is absolutely serving the purpose. Customer service seemed genuinely concerned and kept in contact every time we had a question. I took a while to get the base, but am absolutely loving it.

Perfect!

1. This is an 11' umbrella, think of it as a sail. Any wind will apply force to the stand. If you did not purchase the base, and fill it with 200+ lbs. of gravel/sand/water, it will tip over. Purchase the umbrella with the base!
2. Some people complained about the base leaking, I would suggest using just gravel/sand, not water. There are 2 openings to add gravel/sand/water. Use the cone shaped cover (it covers where the stand bolts into the base) as a funnel. Pour in the gravel/sand, stopping to distribute the gravel/sand inside the base with your hand. Add a 50 lb. bag of gravel/sand to each side, and then pick up the base on the wheel side allowing the gravel/sand to slide into the "nose" of the base. Add another 50 lb. bag of gravel/sand through each opening. Again stopping to distribute the sand inside the base with your hand. Vacuum the opening thoroughly as the caps will cross thread easily.
3. The umbrella will sway in the wind. This is not a parasol umbrella with a rigid shaft running all the way up. A cantilever umbrella needs to articulate in order to open, and be adjusted. If the wind is severe enough to be a problem, you wouldn't have a regular/parasol umbrella up either.
The umbrella assembles easily, there were no broken, or missing parts. One of the nice things about this umbrella is that the base is narrow, and somewhat mobile. Most cantilever umbrella bases are 36" or more per side, and I have not seen any others that are mobile.
The only minus is the caps on the base easily cross threading.
I have no problem recommending this product.
